Twice Removed:The Experience
Seeking to innovate the medium of musical theatre, Twice Removed uses the epic music of 30 Seconds to Mars to deliver a non-linear and compelling character-tale of revenge and retribution. Scenes of internationally renowned locations blend with imagery reminiscent of the bold vision of Bartholomew Cubbins to transition between two dimensional and live-action theater, unfolding the story in cinematic fashion.
The show defies standard audience boundaries through interactive technology and blends 25 songs from all of 30 Seconds to Mars’ albums into a musical adaptation of a novel written in 1998. In uncanny fashion, very few lyrics were changed. It is as if the writers of the music collaborated with the author of the book some 15 years ago.
