About Timothy James Kelley
Prior to serving as the Head of various international schools, Mr. Kelley was the Artistic Director of the Equity company, The Spiral Stage and an award winning teacher. He has directed and designed over 85 productions throughout the United States including the award winning premier of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest in Boston, The Compleat Works of Wllm. Shakspr for the Boston Public Theatre and a production for the Edinburgh Theatre Festival. He has also been a prolific Lighting Designer and worked in the advertising industry as an association producer working with a wide range of clientele including TJ Maxx, DEK and WCVB, Boston.
Mr. Kelley has written a number of plays including Dark Lady of the Sonnets, Musical Chairs, A Scarlet Letter (a musical) and an adaptation of John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men for the Massachusetts Drama guild. He has written a stage adaptation of Boston Globe columnist Chet Raymo's extraordinary novel The Dork of Cork. (Also the source of the major motion picture, Frankie Starlight)
Currently, Mr. Kelley is a respected educational leader who writes and speaks frequently all over the world concerning the importance and future of education.
He continues to write creatively, publishing a short story for the book So Far and Yet So Near and the recently published historical thriller Seducing the Flame. He lives with his family in Germany.
